Although equity fund flows suggest that among Emerging Asian fund groups the final quarter of 2025 became a race between funds dedicated to China and Korea, the full-year picture tells a different story.

India, despite seeing its average weighting among the diversified Global Emerging Markets (GEM) Equity Funds fall to a 28-month low as managers shifted exposure to regional markets with more compelling artificial intelligence stories, saw the biggest flows from all EPFR-tracked Equity Funds over the year.

With an election behind it and reforms in the pipeline, Korea Equity Funds  enjoyed a strong run. But 2025 was a difficult year for smaller regional equity markets, with flows largely bypassing Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia. How this played out, and how it compares to flows in the fixed income space, is the topic of a 30-minute webinar-on-demand hosted by members of the research team from ISI Global Markets’ Data & Analytics division, Cameron Brandt and Steven Shen.
